What We Do

In response to needs in the field that align with our experience and knowledge, and drawing on the talent and creativity of urban changemakers, SharedCitySharedSpace will provide research, knowledge sharing, and consulting services to those in the public, non-profit, private, philanthropic and academic sectors.

Passionate people across the globe are working creatively and collaboratively to improve their communities and their cities. We seek — in an ever-more-polarized and ideological world — to connect, support and share what works on the ground, and support the development of new ideas and practices to help cities thrive.

In our work supporting allies, friends and clients, we hope to:

• Learn about and share ideas and innovations across cities.

• Celebrate and support those working to improve shared spaces everywhere — parks, plazas, streets, sidewalks — and their role in neighborhood-driven transformation.

• Create a shared space to nurture the interaction of ideas, institutions, individuals and cultures — particularly through public, private and civic sector collaboration — in order to make more prosperous, vibrant and equitable cities.
